The Rise of Commercial Drones – Risks, Regulations and Insurance
By 2020 it’s conservatively estimated that at least 2.7 million drones will be operating in U.S. airspace for commercial purposes. The potential commercial uses for drones cuts across almost all industry sectors – from agriculture, engineering and construction to media, security and manufacturing. With the new drone frontier comes evolving regulations and new insurance risks. This talk will provide an overview of the regulatory environment, how the insurance marketplace is responding and ways for businesses to minimize the potential impact of drone risks.
