September Breakfast - "What Gets Measured Gets Managed" by Erica Dougherty from Beecher Carlson

What Gets Measured Gets Managed, presented by Erica Dougherty

The concept of big data is past its debut in the worker’s compensation loss arena.  It is quickly evolving into an expected method for managing results within the C-Suite of many organizations.   While the prospect of the new tools can be exciting they do propose challenges for many risk management departments due to the amount of data available and the sophomoric utilization period.   The difficulty lies in pinpointing the methods that are effective and best suited to meet their specific organization goals.    The session will address approaches, concepts and methodologies on how actionable data will help reduce workers compensation loss cost within your company.

In her role as ZOOM Sales Leader, Erica focuses on the sales and delivery of ZOOM®,   Beecher Carlson’s patent pending loss cost reduction process.  Erica has spent the past 12 years leveraging data analytics to design and execute cost containment strategies that are proven to improve year-over-year outcomes and reduce the total costs of risk.  Erica’s strategies eliminate the guesswork and exploit the “best few” opportunities to improve operating margins, reduce balance sheet accruals and provide appropriate care for employees and customers.

Prior to Beecher Carlson, Erica held positions for with Arthur J Gallagher and Willis assisting clients with accomplishing cost containment strategies within their casualty programs utilizing analytical tools and methodologies.   Earlier in her career, Erica worked as casualty broker interfacing with the insurance market to secure coverage for clients and sustaining relationships with senior executives at partner insurance carriers.
