Sign up for Shadow Day - March 31, 2017

The Carolinas RIMS Chapter is pleased to once again host Shadow Day on March 31, 2017 for rising Risk Management professionals from our partner universities (Appalachian University and UNC Charlotte). This is an opportunity for the Carolinas RIMS Deputy and Associate members to spend time mentoring students who have expressed an interest in the Risk Management arena including Broker, Claims, Risk Manager and Underwriting roles. This is a great way to attract talent in the Risk Management industry which is seeing its established workforce approaching retirement.

The students will designate their first and second choice fields and the goal will be to match up the student with a Deputy or Associate member whose company can showcase “a day in the life of” their selected profession. The day will end with a dinner for all participants where the students will give a brief overview of their experience.

Agenda:

8:00am – 9:00am: Meet/Depart with your student

Compass Group Offices, 2300 Yorkmont Road, Building 1, Charlotte, NC 28217

4:00pm – 6:00pm: Dinner/Student Presentations

Byron’s at South End, 101 West Worthington Avenue, Suite 180, Charlotte, NC 28202

On behalf of the Carolinas RIMS Board, we thank you for your consideration of this educational event which the students rely on for practical experience as they evaluate their future career choices.
