2022 Carolinas RIMS Golf Outing
Please join us on June 10 for the 16th Annual Carolinas RIMS Educational Golf Outing! We invite you to join us at this fun event open to all golfers, regardless of skill level. The purpose of this golf outing is to raise funds for educational opportunities of Risk Management students. For this reason, all group pairings at the silver sponsorship level and above will be filled first and any remaining spots on a wait-list basis. Individual registrations will be accepted for single players. Format is Captain's Choice - 18 holes and Golf Cart is included. A single score is kept for the foursome and no handicaps are needed. NC and SC Workers' Compensation Law Update [WebEx Meeting]
The Carolinas RIMS Chapter will host a virtual RIMS Chapter meeting on January 27, from 10:30am to 12:00pm. We are pleased to welcome two highly respected workers compensation defense attorney’s from the Law Firm Willson Jones Carter & Baxley: Jason A. Griggs and Angela (Angie) D. Zachary will present a North Carolina and South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Case Law Update. Jason practices in the firm’s Greenville, South Carolina office and Angie practices in the firm’s Charlotte, North Carolina office.

An Update From the Carolinas RIMS Board
To our valued RIMS Community: The Carolinas RIMS Board looks forward to resuming a regular meeting schedule in 2022. We all have missed the networking and socializing that accompanies the educational events and look forward to getting back together.
On December 2, we will hold what we hope to be our last virtual meeting with Valerie Franco as our special guest presenter. We also thank Wendy Sumrell at Gallagher Bassett for providing a virtual platform for several of our online meetings this past year. The meeting is free of charge, but you will need to register to attend the Webex meeting.

In January, we will plan to start hosting our meetings in person with further details coming soon.
Last, but not least, as you are finalizing your 2022 budgets, please keep RIMS in mind as we are in the planning stages for the 2022 Southeast Regional Conference in Asheville on September 21 - 23. We will be moving the venue downtown to the Renaissance Hotel. Look for more details in the first quarter of 2022.
