The Carolinas RIMS Chapter received the 2014 Chapter Achievement Award. On April 27th, National RIMS recognized the exceptional work of its chapters for outstanding chapter programming and conferences; advancing the risk management profession; outstanding member services; as well as membership growth. Marie Baird, Treasurer, (pictured 2nd from the left) accepted the award on behalf of Carolinas.

Students from Appalachian State University won the national Spencer-RIMS Risk Management Challenge, a three month competition that began with a case for The Walt Disney Company. Winning students were Eric Vickers from Whiteville, Bruce Thomas from Charlotte, Grant Jared from Winston-Salem and Wes McDaniel from Charlotte. They were accompanied by Brantley Risk and Insurance Center Director Karen Epermanis, who served as their faculty advisor. For more information, please follow this link:
