The Carolinas RIMS chapter was able to donate $15,000 to each App State and UNC-Charlotte, as well as another $5,000 to the Spencer Foundation. The announcement was made at the holiday social December 14th. Carolinas extends our thanks to our donors, who have been instrumental in our ability to raise the funds to donate for these scholarships for students in the Risk and Insurance fields of study.

When Dick Oelhafen, a great RIMS champion, passed away, we designated a scholarship in his honor. Carolinas RIMS is pleased to announce that this year's recipient is Sarah Henley. She is an analytical student at UNC-Charlotte's Risk and Insurance program and is looking for an internship this coming summer. She is studying Spanish at a conversational level and is a member of Gamma Iota Sigma. Sarah expects to graduate in 2018.
